Andrew Lawrence - Principal Associate, Health

Andrew is an iCoCo Associate specialising in public policy and service improvement. He holds a degree in Politics and qualifications in Town Planning, Management and Public Relations. He worked as a planner for two London Boroughs and was Assistant Director of Planning and Transport for Warwickshire County Council. He was head of Community Support at Warwickshire until April 2006.
Andrew is the author of a report recently commissioned by the Department of Health entitled 'Better together - a guide for people in the Health service on how you can help to build more cohesive communities'. He was a member of the team responsible for the production of the LGA report 'Estimating the scale and impacts of migration at the local level' (2007), and led the project team responsible for an analysis of population statistics and health in Coventry and Leicester 'Measuring the health of urban populations - A small area study in Coventry and Leicester' (2007).
In addition, Andrew assists Local Authorities in their plans to implement the Local Government and Public involvement in Health Act, particularly the process of establishing Local Involvement Networks and provides advice as part of the Centre for Public Scrutiny's Health Scrutiny Support programme. Andrew was also the programme coordinator for all Local authorities in South West and South Central England.
