Aurélie Broeckerhoff - Academic Writer
Aurélie holds a Masters in British Studies degree with a main focus on cultural studies, social psychology and intercultural communication from the Humboldt University in Berlin. Throughout her studies she has researched identity, culture and communication applied to a prism of international and intercultural structures. She has worked at the British
Council for two years. During that time, she managed the development of an intercultural dialogue toolkit designed to shape the British Council's work in intercultural dialogue globally. She has also authored two books whilst working for the British Council's think tank Counterpoint. "Options for Influence: global campaigns of persuasion in the new worlds of public diplomacy" is an analysis of the field of cultural relations and how it relates to other foreign
relations options. "Volunteering: global citizenship in action" is an overview of how international volunteering can help the creation of global active citizens who are aware of international issues and are willing to tackle these at a local level. At iCoCo, Aur�lie is particularly interested in research focussing on the role of culture and identity in different communities and how community engagement and active citizenship can contribute to community cohesion. As
