Trevor Montague

Trevor MontagueTrevor was appointed as the Executive Director of the Institute of Community Cohesion (iCoCo) in 2005. As a member of the iCoCo Senior Management Team Trevor plays a central role in the strategic direction of the Institute including the development of responses to emerging policy strands. He engages regularly with partner organisations at the national, regional and local level, including government departments, national agencies and voluntary bodies and local authorities.

Trevor is also responsible for the development of the Community Cohesion Practitioner Network and the emerging cohesion portal - recognised by Hazel Blears, the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, as the national "one-stop-shop" for cohesion. He is actively involved in a range of practical cohesion projects notably the development of a national community cohesion awards scheme for grass roots organisations.

Trevor has extensive senior level experience with local authorities and in the higher education sector.
