ICD project planning

This section seeks to support and encourage more effective planning of ICD projects. Drawing on extensive conversations with key stakeholders both within the British Council and externally and drawn from information about performance management, the following documents are intended to help ICD practitioners when they are planning their ICD projects. The checklists are offered, from good practice examples, to help make sure that planners have asked the critical questions when developing project ideas and have considered all angles to the creating of successful and effective ICD projects. We expect these guides to change and improve as they are used. These documents are:

  1. ICD key components which outlines corporate and potential intermediate ICD outcomes
  2. ICD project initiation checklist which can be used to help project planners with clarity of purpose and outcomes of proposed ICD projects
  3. ICD indicators which outline potential measures of a project's impact on the knowledge, attitude, behaviour and relationships of an individual participant, family and friends, the local community and wider society.
  4. ICD perception survey which provides one way to identify a baseline of understanding and trust of participants.
