ICD – How it fits into the Policy Framework

As the section reviewing the literature around intercultural dialogue makes clear, ICD is part of a wide range of theory and practice that falls broadly within the field of making diverse communities successful and vibrant.

It is vital that ICD is placed within this context, with similarities acknowledged and differences made explicit. There has been no shortage of activity in these areas in recent years. For those delivering on this agenda, both in the UK and internationally, many of these have brought new responsibilities and performance indicators. Therefore, it is important that ICD is developed and explained alongside this work and these concepts.
