Schools sought for British Council's Connecting Classrooms
Date: 27/07/2010
The British Council has opened a new round of recruitment for its Connecting Classrooms project and is inviting applications from clusters of schools – supported and co-ordinated by a local authority/federation of schools, or other affiliated body – to form partnerships with schools and districts in the following regions:
- East Asia (Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam)
- India and Sri Lanka
- Latin America (Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Venezuela)
The application deadline for all of these regions is 29 October 2010. Anyone who is interested in applying should go to the Connecting Classrooms website and click on 'How to get involved' to find out more about how the programme works in these regions and the application process.
Future application rounds
There will be one further application round for Connecting Classrooms in this financial year: 4 February 2011 is the deadline for applications to work with partners in countries in Sub-Saharan Africa. There may also be an opportunity to apply to work with partners in China in late spring/early summer.
